A Blast from the Past:

Carole Ann's Award-Winning book, Banner's Bonus, was published in 1995 by Book Margins, Inc., who had a seal to publish some Dorchester books in a "bargan run" for special price marketing. It was successful in this special arrangement with Dorchester Publishing Co., Inc., whose first publication of it was under their LoveSpell imprint. Even through BMI, the book went on to be popular in their inventory for quite a while. The cover to the left is the original cover as produced by BMI.

The back blurb of the book read as follows:
Tressa Loring could think of better ways to spend her time rather than treveling through space with an arrogant brute - especailly one she had secretly adored for years. But duty forced her to journey with Nick Banner to a far off world, even as desire led her to unknown realms of passion.

Banner's assignment was supposed to be simple:
He had to keep his friend's daughter safe from kidnapping threats without letting her know she was in danger. The hard part for the dashing rogue was he had vowed not to lay a hand on his headstrong passenger. If he succeeded, a fortune would be his reward. If he failed, a love without end would be Banner's Bonus.

Since the first publication, the story of Nick Banner and Tressa Loring has remained the same, but through subsequent editings and subtle additions, Carole Ann Lee has managed to make a great book even better. Both Nick and Tressa have undergone subtle changes in character, both becoming more alive, independent, and yet retaining the same qualities that drew us to them in the first printing. Available in June of 2008 from Awe-Struck Press, Banner's Bonus remains a favourite among Futuristic Romance Lovers.
